Thin piece of dark grey slate with soothing copper edges
Intriguing piece of slate from Scotland with bright but smooth copper edges. On closer inspection you can see silver hairlines running horizontally across the surface of the slate.
I find it amazing that during electroforming, copper tends to take on the properties of whatever it is being attracted to. In this instance, the flat surface of the slate is mirrored by sleek but soothing copper edges.
- Ring size - L
- Featured slate - 17mm side to side, 12mm front to back, height 3mm
- Further detail regarding points of measurement can be found below
More details
I provide a copper care card and small polishing cloth with every item purchased.
Ring sizes are the UK standard (please note this is different to US size). Where I have added a fraction, this is to indicate that it is slightly larger or smaller than the standard sizing (more detail on ring sizing available on tab below).
Measurements are of widest point, therefore parts of the piece will measure less than the dimensions given. To help you orientate, if you were wearing the piece:
- 'side to side' measurement of the piece would be taken across the finger
- length 'front to back' would be taken along the finger
- 'height' is from the inside the brow of the ring shank to the top of the piece and is as accurate as is possible (this cannot always be an exact art, but it gives you a good idea!)
