Do I need to have an account to order something?
No, you can place an order as a guest.
However, if you chose to set up an account, this will allow you to checkout more quickly.
Please note that you can become part of my inner circle by sharing your email address with me. This opens some exclusive offers to you and will ensure you receive my latest news in the a monthly inner circle email.
To subscribe without making a purchase, you submit your email address on the 'Join the inner circle' page.
Why will it take 4 weeks to receive a piece of jewellery from The Windblown Collection?
When I launched the Windblown Collection in September 2022, I decided that my collection pieces would be 'made to order'. This means that each and every piece is not only handmade, but also finished according to your personal choices (such as satin or high shine, or a different length of necklace chain).
Every item is also hallmarked to guarantee its quality and ensure it remains valuable as a heritage piece into the future. This process can sometimes take from 10 days to 2 weeks.
I have therefore indicated a standard 4 week lead time between your piece of jewellery being ordered and it arriving with you.
If you need it more quickly for any reason, please contact me as soon as possible on dawn@foundbydawn.co.uk and I will see what I can do.
What do I do if my order is wrong or there are items missing?
As a one-woman business, I would like to assure you that I do everything possible to ensure your order is beautifully packaged and arrives as expected. However, we are all human and mistakes can happen.
If there is a problem with your order, please let me know as soon as possible after receiving it. This should be within 14 days. For further details please read my Refund Policy.
Why do you only sell to customers in the UK?
Found by Dawn was launched in January 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic and just after the UK had left the EU. In order to ensure the correct protection of customer's data and simplify processes, the decision was made to only sell to customers based in the UK.
I may start to sell to international customers at a future date. If you would like to hear about it when this happens and get other news from Found by Dawn, you can subscribe to my inner circle with your email address.
How can I commission a piece of jewellery or make a bespoke order?
I take bespoke requests for specific pieces of gold or silver jewellery. If you would be interested in talking to me about commissioning your own unique piece of silver or gold jewellery, please email dawn@foundbydawn.co.uk or use our Contact Form, starting your message 'Bespoke'
You can also sign up to my inner circle, to receive updates, including details about commission work I may be doing.
Delivery and returns
When will I receive the items I have purchased?
Generally commissions and made to order pieces (like those in The Windblown Collection) will take 4 weeks to make and finish (including hallmarking). For further information about why this is the case, please see details above, under 'Ordering').
Once your piece of jewellery is finished, I carefully package it up and drop it off at a Royal Mail delivery office. The speed of delivery at this point is determined by the options you chose for postage at checkout.
I solely use Royal Mail for our shipping services. You can find out more in my Shipping Policy
Please note, that there may be delays to your purchase once shipped where circumstances arise that are out of the control of Found by Dawn and Royal Mail.
Do you accept returns?
I have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return and receive a refund or an exchange. For further details, please visit our Refund Policy.
Can I arrange a local pick up?
I am able to offer an option of local pick up on certain days and at specific times. If you select local pick up when placing your order, I will be in touch so we can make a plan to hand over your parcel safely and securely.

Communication, data & policies
How do I opt out of communications, like email Newsletters?
I only send you email updates if you have agreed that I can do this, when placing an order or by requestions email newsletters, by supplying your email address to join the inner circle. My inner circle email will only be sent once per month and perhaps once per fortnight when something special is happening.
If you have decided you would no longer like to receive email communications from Found by Dawn, would like to close your account, want to opt out of receiving our email Newsletter or have any other queries requests regarding the way your information is used, please visit Communication preferences.
