The Spindrift necklace is a mirror-image of its mesmerizing, hypnotizing sister-earrings, and is just as likely I suspect, to draw admiration.
The pendant part of the necklace has been spun around: copper at its top, meeting silver underneath to form a V shaped join. It is made from the pieces left behind (but not forgotten!) when making the Spindrift earrings; two halves of the same whole (check out the video of me making the set on Instagram).
A circular cut-out, with two half-moons carved out under that, draw you in. Then five cascades of ten seed beads drop from the final outer crescent in an arc; clear, green and blue with silver glints, like water falling to the earth after heavy rain.
The Spindrift necklace has movement and space at its core and at its edges, and will resonate with those of us who prefer something a bit different to the norm.

The detail
From top to bottom (including the 3mm oval jump ring at the top) the solid, round, part of the pendant at its longest point measures 2.8cm, at its widest point 2.2cm side to side and 1mm thick. The beads are around 2mm in diameter and there are ten on each headpin which each measure around 12mm from the loop at the top, to the ball at the bottom. The top of the pendant to the bottom of the bead cascades, at its longest point, measures 4.8cm.
The standard chain length for this necklace is 58cm/22.8", extending the overall necklace length from the back of the neck to the bottom of the final bead cascade, to 33cm/13". From end to end - lobster clasp to catch - the chain measures 58cm/22.8". The necklace chain is finished with a 9mm lobster clasp and 4mm round catch, both in sterling silver.
